My daughter Ava's birthday is coming up! Whew! Time has certainly gone by way too fast. Not to sound cliche, but it's true - it seems like only yesterday when I was planning her 1st birthday party. And now it's time to get ready for her 2nd. I've got the party-planning hat on and I'm in the mood to plan a party!
The theme last year was Hello Kitty - my choice, of course. Although I've practically thought about her 1st birthday party since she was born, most of the decorations were store-bought - something I attribute to the lack of time and energy first-time parents seem to have for anything else other than their kid. :) This year, my husband and I want a theme that would suit Ava's favorite things and activities well. And with a little bit more time and being more accustomed to parenting, I want to make sure I take the time to customize the event for my little girl.
