Purple Damask Wedding Invitation

I couldn’t have been any happier when I learned of Gemarie & Jonathan’s engagement. Both friends of mine, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to design and create their wedding invitation. I find it so gratifying to be part of a wedding, especially the invitations. It is, after all, where the event’s magic starts.

Gemarie has a thing for the color purple – and it is, naturally, the color theme of their wedding. I love the “eggplant” purple shade that she picked for their stationery. And metallic and linen cardstock just always looks elegant – even with a simple invitation like Gemarie & Jonathan’s. The damask design and silk ribbon that wraps around the invitation add a touch of class. The pocket-fold style was perfect to hold all the inserts that contained key information about the event. I’m lucky that the couple was pleased with the first design I made for them.
