Easter Celebrations

This Easter, my husband and I wanted to take our daughter egg hunting, since this is the first time she is able to hunt for eggs on her own. On Saturday morning, we joined the hundreds of kids at our local park to celebrate. We definitely enjoyed the festivities.

Sunday was spent with family. I decided to make some cupcakes for the kids at the last minute. A newbie at baking cupcakes (it's just my second time making these sweet delights), I think my vanilla-with-cream-cheese-frosting cupcakes turned out quite well. I adorned them with Easter-themed toppers. Check out the nice pastel toppers and other fun ideas at Skip to My Lou

I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones as I did with mine.

The Royal Wedding

It's in the news, internet blogs, talk shows, and if you have not been keeping up with the media countdown, it's about a week away! I am, of course, talking about THE ROYAL WEDDING - a day that also just happens to fall on my own special day. So I guess I will not be attending the wedding as, naturally, I have other plans. :)

As someone who enjoys making invitations, I had to check out the invite for this majestic event. Here's the simple yet elegant invitation to the Royal Wedding.

Have you seen the commemorative stamps honoring the Royal couple? These lovely pieces are sure to be collectors' items.

Of course, you can throw a party of your own and feel like you are there, like Bird's English-style Tea. Or you can check out the parties happening here in the US in honor of the Royal couple as listed on The Knot.

What do you think of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding invitation? What are your thoughts about the Royal Wedding? Do you have any advice for the couple? You can view the official wedding website here. Then sign their guestbook.

I Heart Pinterest

A few weeks ago I was invited to join "Pinterest". I have to admit that at that time, I deleted the invite. But after taking a second look at Pinterest, I became interested. I joined and got hooked. You could even say I was - pardon the pun - totally pinned. Pinterest is, in the words of its creators, a "virtual pinboard".  Basically, it is a place where you can bookmark or save images you see online. Once you've joined, you can pin photos or repin other members' to your board.

It is perfect for both personal and business use. It can be an artist's canvas, a photographer's porfolio, or a bride's organizer. Heck, it can even be a celebrant's visual wish list. I utilize it to create inspiration boards for Paper-Charmed and to catalog and coordinate my favorite online finds for parties, fashion, home - you name it. Below are some of my boards.

Images from Paper-Charmed Pinterest. You can follow my pins here.

The best part about it is that now I don't have to save my finds on my computer. I can access them wherever internet is available. Plus, I don't have to worry about forgetting where I found that really cute cupcake stand or that really pretty blouse. I just "pin it". The link is saved with the image. Pretty neat, huh?

To start pinning, you can go here to request for an invite or I can send you an invitation - just leave me a note with your email address. Happy pinning!
