Last Sunday, May 15, I had the pleasure of joining my sister-in-law Iella - owner of
Done by Digits - at the
Patchwork Craft Fair in Long Beach, CA. This was her third time participating at the Patchwork Show as a vendor. She makes the most adorable crocheted animals, dolls, critters, hair clips, and scarves. Her love for
Amigurumi - the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed creatures - really shows in her products. Her toys are different in their own way - each one has it's own unique personality.
Iella is the reason I have a blog. She was the one who introduced me to blogging and encouraged me to show the world my invitations and paper creations.
Anyway, I was particularly excited about this fair because I designed the Done by Digits booth. For the signage, I wanted colors that would stand out and not blend in with the colorful dolls. So I picked a black-yellow-white color scheme.
You may remember my blog post on how to make these paper roses. Here's the
link again for the blog post where you can find the tutorial. A few people at the fair asked how I made them. They are really fun and easy to make. So try it and let me know.

The fair had some really amazing talent. So many wonderful and creative minds out there. I'm so in awe of these people. Above are a few of the booths that really caught my eye. Kait Emerson Designs. Can't wait 'til the next fair!
