Wedding Stationery Timeline

For 2012, I will be starting a new blog series called Wedding Stationery 411 - an informational section on all stationery wedding-related: save-the-dates, invitations, programs, table numbers, place cards, escort cards, thank you cards, etc. To start off, below is a timeline on save-the-dates and invitations.

This timeline was put together by The Knot, plus some commentary by yours truly, Paper-Charmed. I hope you find this helpful in your wedding planning days.

Tasks

Just A Thought

(as suggested by The Knot)

9-11 months

Browse invitations to get an idea of what you like. Once you've got a rough guest list, date and a budget in mind, find your stationer.

Why not browse through our photo gallery of invitations here, then contact us at papercharmed@aol.com to schedule an appointment for a free consultation?

Create a wedding website with your proposal story (and later all the details to keep guests in-the-know).

Have you checked these sites that offer free wedding websites?

6-8 months

Order your save-the-dates and send them to your guests.

Wouldn't a custom-designed save-the-date cards, engagement party or shower invitations, portraits and announcements to match your wedding invitation be perfect? We can help.

4-5 months

Time to order your invitations. You'll also want to order those inserts (like RSVP cards or rehearsal dinner invites).

Did you know we offer a variety of invitations in many colors? Each and every invitation is completely customizable and is as unique as the couple.

2-3 months

Time to send out your invitations. If lots of guests are booking flights, at least 8 weeks notice is ideal.

Would you like us to coordinate the address labels with your invitations? We can.

2 weeks

All RSVP cards should be back.

Don't forget to adhere stamps on the RSVP cards. It's only polite to do so.

Consider postcard RSVP cards. It's a little more economical.

In today's computer-driven society, sometimes RSVP's can be done online.

New Year, New Look!

Happy New Year, friends! If you've been to my site before you may have noticed the new look. New year, new look, fresh start as many would say. Although I'm not the chattiest blogger, I am proud of what I've accomplished in the last year, and hope to surpass that, if not continue it.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank those who follow Paper-Charmed. I truly appreciate each and every reader, and the comments left. I'm looking forward to seeing your feedback. Here's to another great year!

Out with the old, in with the new. Paper-Charmed banners then and now.
